Founded in 2003 by Michael and Susan Jemison, as a local breeding facility for fainting goats.
Our mission is to breed the highest quality fainter's we can. By maintaining the standards of breeding to the truest fainting goats possible, and not cross breeding to other goat breeds.
Our goal is to produce many color variations, while trying to maintain good confirmation and healthy goats.
They are line bread to get the best results possible. Before we sell the goat(S) we make sure that they will stiffen up and fall over.
(It's our pleasure realy).
They should weigh around 60 to 110 pounds it depends on the sex of the goat. We breed the Tennessee line of goats.
Fainting Goats are a curious breed. When startled, the animal actually faints -- their nervous systems lock up, their bodies become stiff, and they fall to the ground.
They're out for a few seconds, after which they shake it off, get back on their feet & continue as if nothing had happened.
Fainting goats actually serve a purpose beyond amusing small children or Uncle Olaf. Shepherds bred and keep fainting goats as part of the flock.
